PXG 2024 Gen7 irons black ops against black background

PXG have unveiled their newest 0311 Gen7 irons, Black Ops irons, and Sugar Daddy III wedges.

In a surprise reveal this week, PXG, Parsons Xtreme Golf, has announced their latest 0311 Gen7 and Black Ops game improvement irons along with the highly-anticipated Sugar Daddy III wedges.

Although no internal technology features of the irons have been made public, early pictures offer some insight into the popular 0311 iron line and what kind of improvements have been made.

What we know

The newest 0311 Gen7 irons continue the looks and aggressive styling that has become synonymous with PXG’s irons.

What stands out on the 0311P and 0311XP Gen7 is a titanium ring around the signature middle weight used to fine-tune swing weight and feel. Considering the lightweight and high-strength nature of titanium compared to steel we can assume that this change has been made to save mass and boost MOI by positioning more weight in the heel and toe of the irons.

Unlike the 0311P and XP irons, the Black Ops appears to be a stand-alone game improvement offering to go along with the Black Ops woods. Based on the lack of hosel branding it’s likely the Black Ops irons are made using a cast body construction and will be offered at a lower price point than the new Gen7’s.

And lastly, the 0311 Sugar Daddy III wedges look to be an evolution of the popular fully milled line by offering more grind options and a new cavity design in the rear of the club to shift weight around the head for extra stability and spin control.

PXG 0311 Black Ops Custom Driver

AMF Face Technology PXG 0311 Black Ops Drivers deliver big distance gains using a propriety high strength, and more flexible, Titanium Alloy face material thatsupports increased face deflection during impact. High Strength Composite Contruction Lightweight crown and sole inserts, made from high-grade carbon fiber using advanced compression molding, enable optimal weight distribution in the clubhead. This enhances the moment of inertia (MOI), shifts the center of gravity (CG) lower and farther back, resulting in improved distance and forgiveness. Non-Uniform Buldge and Roll Face The face design supports enhanced forgiveness and improves overall performance by optimizing the club’s reaction to off-center hits.

Heros-first tradition continues

As with previous releases, PXG is continuing its tradition of offering exclusive fitting and purchasing access to the new irons and wedges to all current and past military personnel, veterans, along with first responders before the full public launch on August 7th.

“We are always looking for ways to acknowledge and show appreciation for our military and first responders,” PXG founder and CEO Bob Parsons stated. “These new clubs are simply outstanding – the greatest leap forward in technology and performance we’ve ever made. Ahead of the launch, we are proud to give our heroes the first crack at swinging them!”
